I received a death threat...

Apparently, it's because I posted an article on the case of Lina Joy.

I have identified the IP to be:

... and have reported abuse to Yahoo! Inc.

Suggestions please, on what else do you think I should do?

If I were you, I'd go to the nearest police station to report this.

Also, get this mail and the context in which it was produced in (your comments on lina joy) known on the web, as well as offline. If you're serious about this email, take it to the public bureaus (MCA's Micheal Chong), forward it to the DAP leader, Kit Siang.

Never take death threats lightly as your anonymous abuser is playing with your fear and clearly believes that violence is necessary to repress thought.

Take care and watch your back. You can never be too certain.

Hi Celestine,

I think, firstly, you should inform your parents. You could also report this to the police and/or seek assistance from CyberAngels (www.cyberangels.org).

Take care & God bless.

My advice is to make a police report if you feel intimidated by that email. At the same time, lodge a complaint with MCMC for them to initiate an investigation.

jesus had its own death threat too. he face it with the cross for us. he sacrifices himself for our sins. many jesus's apostles die for what they believe. never give up on what you believe upon one small death threat that come from a coward person. have faith and pray for god's wisdom and do what you think is the best!

point to ponder: it is better to die for what we believe rather than live for what we don't believe.

I don't know what to tell you you should do but all I can say is that trust God and know that I am praying for you and if you ever need anything, you can contact me.

Thank you so much for expressing your concern and support. :) Do know that I truly appreciate it.

I have taken appropriate steps and I am considering several other options.

To those whose comments I did not publish:

I am sorry, but I have a policy to not publish anonymous comments (except in special cases)

Hey bro,

Stresfull, however, my only advise at the moment, take neccessary precaution, reporting to the Police and the MCMC, is an option but it might backfire as they will then go into (why are you talking on a sensitive subject blah blah blah) Lim Kit Siang is an option but what can recommend is to write an email to this group and seek their advise on the matter before going to the police malaysian_lawyers@yahoogroups.com
